“I am most looking forward to meeting new people and making friendships for life at Rowan. But also the opportunities that Rowan gives to further my career. In the future I would like to be a camera operator for the NFL or NASCAR,” says Allison Bruce, a Radio/TV/Film major from Woolwich, NJ (Gloucester County).

“One semester down and I feel like I belong, but there is still some unfinished business. I came here to make a statement with my music and with the things I say. I only surround myself with like-minded people because after your first semester you will realize who has your best interest. Your first semester is very important, meet new people, join clubs you were curious about but never really put effort in it — that’s what it’s all about. With the rest of my time here I’m looking forward to growing. I am currently working on my own music club called “Stay Up Music” to be approved. I even started my clothing brand here and my peers and other students helped me promote and get a lot of apparel around,” says Pharaoh Freer, a Music Industry major from Jamesburg, NJ (Middlesex County).

“With my major I am hoping to get a CPA license after I graduate. Right now I am involved in the Accounting Society and Circle K. I am most looking forward to making more connections and getting involved. For future freshmen I would recommend them finding a club to meet other people with similar interests,” says Lily Fuchs, an Accounting major from Mullica Hill, NJ (Gloucester County).

Chris sitting outside.

“I am not involved with any clubs yet but I want to get involved with the music clubs, political science clubs and club sports. I have enjoyed that we still have the option to come on campus and go to Rowan Boulevard. I like to skateboard and hang out with my friends,” says Chris Mollo, a Music Industry and Political Science major from East Brunswick, NJ (Middlesex County).

“I feel relieved. I am just pushing through for the second semester, to get all of my work done and starting clubs. I want to learn to balance out my time better. My friends and I are starting PROFFAMILY and the whole point of it is to create a friendly [community] on campus and for people to recognize them. It has helped me a lot because a lot of the the friends that I have, I met through PROFFAMILY. I am considering rushing for a sorority. I most look forward to getting my degree and graduating,” says Jayshalie Jennings, a Secondary Education major from Williamstown, NJ (Gloucester County).

Megan standing outside with steam behind her.

“I am most looking forward to meeting new people and learning more about my major. I was in the business leadership academy in my high school and out of all the classes I took marketing was my favorite. I like creative marketing and I want to go into digital marketing or business analytics. I am a part of the bronze leadership program, RCB learning engagement community and macroeconomics study group.” says Megan Steckler, a Marketing major from Mullica Hill, NJ (Gloucester County).
