Future Rowan engineering students and their family members attended the Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering accepted student reception where they were exposed to components of each program and able to get a sense of what it’s like to be an engineering student here at Rowan. The day began with a welcome from the university’s provost, James Newell, and the Dean of the College of Engineering, Anthony Lowman.
The morning continued with guest speaker, Hannah Collura, a class of 2016 graduate who earned her bachelor’s degree in civil and environmental engineering.
Matt James, a resident of East Hanover, Morris County, pursuing electrical and computer engineering said, “I am so excited to start my college career here at Rowan. There are so many opportunities to get involved. #TeamRowanECE22.”
JD Harrison, a resident of Little Egg Harbor, Ocean County, interested in pursuing biomedical engineering, said, “I like the sense of community that Rowan has. The campus just feels like home.”
Prospective students and their families went on to attend Q&A sessions for each individual program, watch lab demonstrations, and eat lunch in Holly Pointe Commons. At the conclusion of the event, students had the opportunity to join the admissions ambassadors on a tour of Rowan’s campus.
