Today, we speak with Eric Banovic, a junior marketing major from Montvale, NJ (Bergen County) who lives on campus at 220 Rowan Boulevard. Eric will share his #PROFspective with us on what it’s like to be a Rowan University student and how he’s getting the most out of his college experience as a Rowan Prof.

Year: Junior

Do you work off campus: Yes, I’m a group sales intern for the Wells Fargo Center, where I find leads for representatives, work as a flag guard during games, set up for band performances, witness phone calls with sales reps, and give tours of the Center.

Rohrer College of Business.Share an “a ha!” moment you’ve had within your major that made you feel passionate about your intended field: I definitely felt passionate about my field when I started working at the Wells Fargo Center – it introduced me to sales, which I now see myself doing as a career. I like to figure out what people need and provide them with a solution.

Describe for us an on-campus experience in which you felt your future goals are supported: I use my position as the philanthropy chair to better my fraternity. The support I receive from them shows they take our operations as seriously as I do.

Why did you choose Rowan: I chose Rowan for the Degree in 3 program, which allows students to earn their B.A. in three years.

On your busiest day, what academic, non-academic and social responsibilities are you juggling: On my busiest day for work, I’m brainstorming ideas to sell tickets with reps, handling tours, finishing Excel sheets, finding new clients. Then I come back to campus for class, an online class, intramural flag football, and resolving issues within my fraternity, while trying to see friends and keeping up with my apartment.
