We’re college students. It’s in our nature to always be rushing. When it comes to life on the run, we need quick and easy meals to chow down and head to class. Here’s a list of my favorite three ingredient meals that’ll never bore your taste buds.
- Hot dog, cheddar cheese, puff pastry– Lay out your puff pastry (crescent roll dough), put a slice of cheese on it, followed by a hot dog. Roll the combo up, slice the hot dog into three pieces. Place the pieces on a tray and bake for 15 minutes at 425 degrees and you’ve got yourself some piggies in a blanket.
- Jalapenos, bacon, creme cheese– Slice the jalapeno popper and scrap out the seeds. Spread creme cheese on the popper and wrap it entirely with one piece of bacon. Bake for 20 minutes at 400 degrees and bam, jalapeno poppers.
- Chicken breast, barbecue sauce, breadcrumbs– Dip the chicken in the bbq sauce followed by the bread crumbs. Bake for 15 minutes at 400 degrees, take it out, add more bbq sauce and bake for 10 more minutes. BBQ chicken tenders!
- Chicken thighs, soy sauce, brown sugar– Put the thighs on a pan on a stovetop and add soy sauce and brown sugar. Cook thoroughly and you’ve made yourself some teriyaki chicken.
- Peanut butter cups, big marshmallows, graham crackers– Cover a pan with the peanut butter cups and marshmallows and bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Melted to perfection, eat with crackers and enjoy your peanut butter s’mores dip.
- Oreos, cream cheese, white chocolate chips– Crush the Oreos and mix in creme cheese in a big bowl. Chill in the fridge. After chilled, take the bowl out, roll mini balls and dip in the melted white chocolate chips. Let them sit on wax paper, drizzle Oreo crumbs on top and you’ve got cookies & creme truffles.
- Cookie dough, Oreos, brownie batter– Cover a square pan with cookie dough, lay Oreos on top of dough and pour brownie batter on top. Bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees and you’ve made yourself triple decker brownies.
These quick treats are a cheap way to make a great snack. Get cookin’!
